Our three daughters attend as well as a nephew. I attend the beginners adult class. Following the recent death of his mother, my five year old nephew was very tentative starting out. Coaches Phil and Alex went above and beyond to make him comfortable and he now attends enthusiastically. I have been attending for about a month and a half, after not rolling at all since high school (25 years ago!). Everyone has been very welcoming and supportive. I have been paired with higher level blue belts in class and they have always been very gracious in teaching the correct way to execute positions. Have very much enjoyed my time and plan on continuing!
Great place to learn and practice the art. Top notch coaching/personnel. Clean facility. Laid back and friendly environment but also can get to Top Competitive Training. All students are great to spar/practice with NO attitudes. Definitely humbling and very honored to practice and train. #GBW
A great facility with Professor Pedro Rodrigues running the establishment. I was welcomed in as one of their own and got to learn some new techniques while I was there. Thank you for the hospitality and if you live in the Whittier area, make sure to stop in and check out the school!
If you think you are too old to start training, you're wrong. I started at 44 and I wish I would've done it years ago. It's not easy, but you won't regret it. The staff and students are great...no egos here, just solid training and constant support. BJJ Whittier is a family and a team...join us!!!
