I am extremely impressed with this academy. Before Gracie Barra Whittier, I had been looking for a place to train for a long time with no success. The academy has everything I was looking for: helpful staff, knowledgable instructors, great people to train with, and clean/well maintained facilities. GB Whittier is a wonderful resource staffed by well trained jiu jitsu professors/instructors. They are dedicated to the success of their students. We've been part of the little champs I & II for over a year now and glad we joined this academy. Many of the older students, teens & adults, take a genuine interest in the young kids and help out with drills. The staff is laid back, open to suggestions and always looking for ways to improve. The training mat is spacious and accommodates a fairly large group of students. Drop by and check it out for yourself.

Took both my kids (3 and 4 yrs) for the free trial week and they had a great time. The instructors were great with the kids. I will definitely be signing them up for classes. The classes are twice a week and a great way for them to burn off energy and learn great skills.

This Academy has a very friendly atmosphere. Coming from a wrestling background I was really excited to find a place I can get a great workout in and learn jiujitsu. This place delivers! The Instructors and Students are really encouraging in helping you advance your skills. I'm a white belt now but can't wait to earn my blue belt. I personally get a lot out of this place.

My son really loved his first session, which by the way, is free. The instructors are patient and gentle with the kids. They made my him welcome and comfortable and the energy in the gym is great!

This was my 7 year old Son’s first experience. He loved the uniform! He loved the Instructors and being hands on his very first day with a partner. He loved being with other little kids. He made connections! My son is special needs, so when something amazing like that happens it brings SUCH JOY to this Mamma heart! We can’t wait to go back for next class!
